Yuvajana Sakhyam (Youth Meeting)

*Now Youth Meetings on every 1st Saturdays of the month in All Saints Church at 3.00pm to 4.00pm and Youth Cottage Meetings on every last Friday of the month (4th or 5th Friday of the month) according to the scheduled location*

* Friday 24th February 2012 - Youth Cottage Meeting at Mr. Majo Oommen's residence at 7pm. Address: 12 Formosa Way, Fazakerley, Liverpool, L10 7NL. All Youth Members please try to attend the meeting and please be in on time.*

* Dear Youth Members, as you all know we all are planned to go for a Youth Retreat held at Wales Conference Hall at Friday June 22nd till Sunday June 24th 2012. This will be three day programme for Youths including, Praise and Worship, Discussions, Gospel Messages, Self Development Classes, Games and so on. Those who would like to participate, please give your name by contacting Mr.Royal George (Mob:07846862176) or Mr. Majo Oommen (Mob:07411853523) by February last week. The expected self cost of trip accommodation and food would be £60 All Inclusive. As we find the Travel expense will be a problem, we might do a fund raising event or expecting a sponsorship for to meet our expenses. About The Carmel Yuvajana Sakhyam

The Youth's in the Carmel Mar Thoma Church, Liverpool are very talented and dedicated to the youth services in Liverpool. The Mar Thoma Yuvajana Sakhyam was organized with a view that all the young people in the Church should accept Jesus Christ as their saviour and Lord, and bear witness to His saving power. It was organized in 1933 by a resolution of the Sabha Prathinidhi Mandalam.

Every Youths of the Mar Thoma Church above the age of 13 years is a member of the Yuvajana Sakhyam. Most of the Parishes both inside and outside Kerala have branches of the Sakhyam. A group of such branches form a center. There are a number of such Centres under each Diocese. The Constitution of the Sakhaym prescribes that the President should be a Bishop of the Church. Rt Rev Dr Isaac Mar Philoxenos Episcopa is the President and Rev Jose C Joseph Mathew is the General Secretary.

Carmel MarThoma Church, Liverpool is blessed with a very active and dedicated Youths. The Yuvajana Sakhyam of the Carmel MarThoma church was formed in 2006 under the Leadership of Rev. Gigy Varghese with the number 12 youth members. During the recent years, we have managed to developed more onto services and now we have more than 25 youth members. Carmel's Yuvajana Sakhyam has regular meetings on every first and third Saturdays of the month at All Saint's Church, Liverpool at 2.30pm - 3.30pm, before the Holy Communion Service, now starts under the Leadership of the current Vicar Rev. Sam John. Our Youth Meeting involves spiritual activities such as ; Praising and Singing, Preaching, Discussions, Debates, Bible Quizes, Other Games and Sport etc.. May the Lord be glorified through the activities of our Yuvajana Sakhyam.
